Sniff.

There's something so sweet about listening to Quinn lying in bed and singing along to "Beauty and the Beast" (the Angela Lansbury version from the movie) that it almost made me cry a little.

I've never been one to wonder at how quickly Quinn is growing up. I'm also not sorry to see her pass out of her baby stage and into her little girl stage. You'd think that I would--I am the sap to end all saps. But watching her grow into this funny, loving, smart, silly little person has been so wonderful...I can't wait to find out what will happen next. There's no reason to look back.

But tonight after her dance class I was buckling up her carseat, and I gave her SEVERAL HUNDRED KISSES on her soft, pudgy cheek as I always do, and then tonight she got out of bed and came into my office and said, "I just love you more than a thousand ice cream cones" and it's almost enough to make me cry.

Andy and I end every conversation before bed with one of us saying, "She's just the best girl." And then we share little funny conversations we'd had with her that day, or we just talk about how big she's getting or how maybe she needs to practice cleaning up after herself a little bit and then she'll be just the best girl ever.

I can't imagine loving anyone more than I love her. And sometimes it makes me cry.

What boys like

Quinn and I were driving yesterday and I had 1st Wave on, and the one hit by The Waitresses came on.

I said "Hey, Quinn, this song is called 'I Know What Boys Like'" She immediately replied "Dinosaurs!"
