Picture free!

Quinn got her first boo-boo today. She grabbed at my diet coke can (she is obsessed with diet coke cans...obsessed, I tell you!) and managed to get her hand in the opening and pull...and she sliced her little bunny finger open! LITTLE BUNNY BLOOD CAME OUT! It was all very tragic, and there were tears and recriminations. (Is that a word?) She got to wear her first band-aid, which we later found on my mom's living room floor.

She also learned a few tricks. She will now wave hello and goodbye. "Waving" means extending an arm (or both) and either holding it out, palm up, as if she is a priest conducting mass, or waving at herself with only her fingers. She waved goodbye to my dad the other day by simply holding her arm out, parallel to the ground. I wouldn't think this was a wave, but she did it every time I said, "Bye bye Grandpa!"

She can also do "SO BIG!" which I hope is a trick that won't lead to weight issues later in life.

"How big is Quinn?" we'll ask, and if we're lucky, she'll hold her arms (or arm, depending on her mood) out in front of her, or perhaps out to the side. Not ever up in the air, really, until we yell, "SO BIG!!!!" and then she'll raise them VERY DRAMATICALLY.

When she started doing "SO BIG!" I began to seriously wonder if the day was upon me that I'd eat her up, she's so damn cute.

Aunt Peggy and Uncle Dennis...too bad you didn't stick around to see Quinn today. She was very adorable and did all of her tricks. (Comments about my napping will be deleted.)

my sister was almost ten pounds when she was born, and never stopped growing. When my folks would pick her up they would say "so heavy!" to each other. One of her first words was "Heavy!" with her arms extended straight up -- in her world, it meant "pick me up!"We still tease her about it.

We had fun with TLC asking "Where's your belly?" She would lift her shirt and show us!
