Home, home, home is good.

My mom and I are back from NYC, and not a moment too soon.

Apparently, Quinn was a Bad Girl for her Aunt Julie and Uncle Denny while Andy went to the airport to pick us up. When it dawned on her that both of her parents were out carousing, she cried and flailed her arms and threw her pacifier at Denny. By the time we arrived at my mom's at about 8:30 p.m., Quinn was passed out in Julie's arms and she looked as if she'd had a rough evening.

Julie, that is.

When I picked Quinn up, she immediately snuggled against me and just laid there on my chest, listening to me talk. Every few minutes she'd raise her head up, peer into my eyes, grin wildly, and bury her head in my neck again. I think she missed me as much as I missed her.

We had a great time (more about seeing Rosie later in the journal) but I think my mom and I are both glad to be home.

There's no such thing as Bad Babies, just lonesome or needy ones. Now, wouldn't you have been disappointed if she didn't miss you at all? Glad you and your Mom made it to New York and back. Hope you had a good time.

Be glad she got the fussiness out of her system before you got home. :) Can't wait to read about your trip!
