w-w-w-windy!

It's WINDY here in the flatlands of Illinois! Our windows are shaking and it's LOUD! Quinn's bedroom faces the back of the house, where there's nothing but cornfields to block all that wind. It's really, really loud in there tonight--the wind woke her up about an hour after we put her to bed. I got her out of her crib (she was SO happy to see me--she was definitely ready to get up and start visiting) and put her in our bed, where it's not quite so loud. We're going to keep her there tonight because her crib is right next to the window in her room, and I don't like her being there during this storm.

I am a little excited that I get to sleep with her tonight. She's so adorable--I just love her so much.

And to think of how I mocked Kenny Loggins and his family bed.

Well...he's still kind of a sissy...

In Michigan here-- last night we had that lovely wind with the added bonus of about 8 inches of snow-- gotta love the midwest. Kenny Loggins IS a sissy. For Quinn's future music collection you should check out Barry Louis Polisar (www.barrylou.com)-- by far the coolest children's artist of all time. Songs like "She said eat the broccoli", "I have a sister, she's so mean", "Don't stick your finger up your nose".... classics my brothers and I (and most of the children of Balt/Wash suburbs) grew up with. Here's hoping to an eventual spring.

Miss Quinn was very glad her Grandma was there on Saturday afternoon, too, when the wind was howling and rattling every window in the house. I know cuz she smiled at me... lots!
