food and fun
Someone needs to come over to my house right now and tell me to UNHAND THE LIFETIME MOVIES! PUT THEM DOWN, AND BACK SLOWLY AWAY FROM THE TELEVISION! With the addition of the Lifetime Movie Network to our home, I've completely lost control.
Anyway. Quinn? Yes. Quinn. She's here. In good health.
RUN, TRACEY GOLD! RUN FROM YOUR PURSUER!!! RUN FROM THIS MOVIE THAT HAS BLATANTLY RIPPED OFF THE STEAMING PILE OF CRAP THAT IS "WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING"!
Quinn has been dabbling in the world of cereal and fruit. She's doing much better than she was. Now she sees the cereal bowl and spoon coming her way, and she opens her mouth expectantly. If she gets peaches instead of cereal first, she holds her mouth open with the peaches swimming around in there and looks at me quizzically, then lets the peaches drip out of her mouth. If she gets cereal first, she kicks her legs and lunges at the spoon, fairly impaling herself on it.
"I like this eating thing!" she seems to be saying. "Will we be doing a lot of that around here??"

When my oldest was a baby, she liked plums best...but only swirled onto the cereal. I explained this carefully to my husband when leaving Dinah with him. He looked at me like I was nuts and said "she's only a baby how does she know what she likes..." So he stirred the plums all in until the ceral was a pleasant shade of lilac...and she wouldn't eat it. Then she cried until he remade it and only swirled the plums in. Of course now she's 17 and wouldn't eat a plum if her life depended on it!!

Any movie with Dee Wallace Stone MUST be good. Don't kid yourself. Besides, Tracey Gold is the Princess of Lifetime movies (second only to the Queen, Melissa Gilbert. Patty Duke's long since been overthrown). If you haven't seen any movies with Shannen Doherty lately, keep watching. THAT's good TV.I've often found myself home sick, fully enthralled in Lifetime movies, and having to take ANOTHER day off simply to watch more movies full of intense date-rape, kidnapping, amnesia, abusive boyfriend, coming of age, small business starting, high school reunion going drama. How can you NOT love it?
