I'd like to go to Florida now, please.
Sorry we were MIA--all's well in the world of the muffin. She has become a little more high-maintenance lately, refusing to entertain herself while her mother sits slack-jawed in front of the computer. We move from room to room sitting at different stations: the exersaucer, the lay-on-your-back-and-bat-at-the-toys thing, the bouncy chair that I oh-so-unsafely put on the bed so she can watch me put clothes away, or the booster seat in the kitchen where she watches me stuff food in my face, trying to ingest a complete meal before she gets restless.
I'm still adjusting to the idea that my time is no longer my own; she controls what we do during the day and when we do it. She's worth it.

Oh man, Amy. I promise you, it won't always be like this. When Jake was born, I had one of those sling things and tried my best to have him with me all the time, but it's near impossible to bake a cake with a baby clinging to you, sling or not.Just three or four more years of this, and then the clinginess wears off!
