Papers papers everywhere
You know what humans were not meant to do?
Spend hours and hours grading papers at Panera.
I was there for 3 1/2 hours today. I had planned on staying until they closed, or until I finished, whichever came first. But finally, my eyes were crossing and no amount of free coffee refills could help.
So I came home.
YES, I still have papers to grade. It will never end, I am convinced.
But Andy has Quinn and the pup at his mom's house, so I am going to go crank up some '70s funk and enjoy being here alone.
Then I'll grade more papers later. Dammit.

I am so happy to hear of a fellow teacher in the same boat as me with papers to grade! It is honestly never-ending. Sometimes, things just have to be put in the "circular file". It was good that they had the experience, right?
I am in the same boat. One of my tenth graders asked me today, "So..Mrs. G. . . . when are we, you know, gonna get those essay things back?"
Research papers. You guessed it. This question came even after I had explained a few weeks ago that they were taking me over because 1)they were boring, 2)they were grammatically awful, and 3) I am so tired of them!
I do not want to grade another paper for the next ten years! Perhaps I should start traveling and grade them in an "off-site" setting. Too bad I live in the middle of nowhere. The nearest thing is a Dairy Queen with outdoor seating only. Ha!
