Prepared

The Christmas cards are mailed.

The shopping is done and wrapped and under the tree (or down in the basement storage room, if the presents are from Santa), minus a few things we're waiting on from Amazon.

Everything that needed to be shipped is at the post office.

My Christmas 2005 Excel spreadsheet is pretty much yellow (meaning that for each person on the list, their gift has been chosen, ordered or shopped for, and delivered--it's a very intricate color-coded document).

I went into school and met with the teacher I'll be subbing for, and I'm excited about the upcoming quarter. I've taught everything I'll be teaching before, so all I have to do is organize and brush up.

Quinn was either sleeping or entertaining herself quietly until 9:30 this morning. (!)

And John Spencer died...which has cast a shadow over the weekend.

From a "West Wing" recap at TWOP:

Leo responds by telling a story about a guy who's walking down the street when he falls into a hole. The walls are so steep he can't escape. A doctor walks by and the guy asks him for help. The doctor writes a prescription and throws it down and leaves. A priest passes by and the guy asks him for help. The priest scribbles out a prayer, tosses it down and walks away. Then one of the guy's friends walks by and the guy asks him for help. The friend jumps down into the hole with the first guy. The first guy asks, "Are you stupid? Now we're both down here!" The friend says, "Yeah, but I've been down here before and I know the way out."

R.I.P. John Spencer.

OY. Amazon just told me packages won't arrive by the 24th - had to cancel that order. Why can't Andy's gift be ready to ship in 24 hours? Dammit. Guess I'll have to go to the STORES. And nothing is wrapped. I'm crap.
