Worry worry
Picture me sitting here wringing my hands, because that's just what I'm doing.
My school, the school I love, the school where I yearn to return someday on a part-time basis called today. They asked me if I could fill in for an English teacher until the semester is over at the end of December. I would start on MONDAY.
I'm already going to be teaching there third quarter, from January to March, for a teacher who is going on maternity leave.
What to do, what to do?

I say do it- it's only for a few weeks, and you get some extra Christmas spending money/college savings for Ms. Quinn.
Say yes if they are absolutely clear that you will not be there for any Holiday Party, field-trip, Santa visit, Holiday Program, cookie making experience , snow flake cutting, (you get my point) that Quinn will be involved with this year. Enjoy the season with her, through her eyes.

You don't know me but...I just wanted to say that I think that being requested that often is a huge compliment! I am in the last 10 days or so of my student teaching phase and I would love to be in your position. You must be great in the classroom to be recognized as you are. Go for it.
