Andy's book!

Andy's book is out! He's been a tech editor, done cleanup work, and co-authored books, but this one is primarily his, and he is PROUD! I'm proud too. He worked his booty off on it.

The best part was opening it up and seeing what he'd written to Quinn and I.

Thanks to my darling Quinn, who brought me countless pretend meals from her play kitchen. Daddy gets hungry when he's working, and plastic pizza, popcorn, and pickles really hit the spot.

Most of all, innumerable thanks to my wife, Amy, for being my best friend and the best mom to Quinn; for her (sometimes grudging) understanding on those weekends where I wasn't around much because I was holed up with a chapter; and for believing in and supporting me as I make my way down this new authorship trail. I love you as big as the sky."

Sniff.

I'm not reading the damn thing, though.

[Note from Andy: I did work hard on it, but it's been on updating the book for the latest version of Mac OS X. There are very few words in there that are actually mine. But I'm still proud. Also, it's first book I get royalties on, so please go buy ten copies.]

If I buy it, will you autograph my copy? Ha ha. Seriously, congratulations Andy!

Way to go, Andy! I'm so proud of you too! This is a huge deal! We will go out and buy one! Hannah said she liked the cover. (She has a thing for cats, you know).

And what a sweet dedication to Amy and Quinn. You're a good man Andy Lester! :)

OK. So I can just say that part of me, who loves the both of you soooo much, is sort of bubbling with stalker-like happiness because I now I know what "I love you a.b.a.t.s" means??? I've seen Amy use that for years in reference to Andy and I never knew ... heh!

Want to see you all soon -- congrats, Andy! So proud of you!! WOO!

It seems to me I remember some young guy giving me a bunch of grief for using an "inferior" Macintosh when he was using a big, bad, PC. Now who was that fellow...?
