Cheerleading! Is! For! Me!

Andy and I just watched the Cheerleading World Championships on ESPN. I think I'd be pretty good on a squad. Who would like to sponsor me? I'm 35.

Here's what I feel capable of:

* Standing on that padded floor and bouncing up and down a few times tentatively

* Hurrying across the floor to get out of the way of leaping and flipping teammates

* Standing on the sidelines during the performances asking other teammates if I'm doing OK or if I'm making them mad or anything

* Kneeling and raising my arms authoratatively

* Wearing a ponytail and a lot of eye makeup

* Wearing comfortable shoes

* Lip-synching to some of the songs

* Maybe helping to catch one of the people who leap into the air...only girls, though. Small girls.

That's about it. Who wants me??

How about occasionally holding up a sign that, when coupled with others, might read "GO FIGHT WIN"? I mean, it's pretty hard to remember not have it upside down or anything. It's a VERY important job.

How do you feel about the short polyester skirt with the built in panties and the tank-top top that only cover half the belly? That sounds like a DREAM.

I will be your cheerleading partner if you'll be my ballroom dancing partner! I am hooked on Dancing with the Stars.

FYI, I'm 37 and probably have a shorter list of abilities than you.

Hey, I volunteer to stand on the pads and bounce my baby boy, I can also put him in the air by holding him above my head... that would be a good trick, maybe if there are enough of us, we can get a group and pass him off to each other... I think we can win prizes with that routine!!!!!

Love you, babe!

I am one of the very few people in this world who saw you go to the school bus stop holding on to trees and sliding on your ass........ You were probably six. You couldn't of been a cheerleader then and you want to be one now? I'm thinking that maybe you could be a cheerleader on The Special Olympics Squad. Should we contact Eunice?

Haha....that is a very funny post! It made me laugh, and laugh, and laugh.... :)

Oh who wouldn't want to be a cheerleader?
I can't even touch my toes. Infact we don't even have that whole Rah Rah thing going on here...but still..I fantasize.
Hey Amy, I wanted to thank you for pointing me to the Fug website. I am really hooked on that now.

Hello, my name is JJ. I was looking through some blogs and I think you might like a blog I am starting up. It’s called The Human Quilt. The Human Quilt has a goal of sharing the lives, expressions, emotions, memories, secrets, and desires of people across the globe. Share your story in a square. Each square tells the story of a life. I would greatly appreciate it if you take a look and give me some input. Thanks a lot. http://humanquilt.blogspot.com/

You ain't no holla-back girl, but I must say I do like your spirit. I think a routine like yours (performed with several like-spirited persons) would definitely cheer me up.

watch out for that joel guy - he's baiting you with that "...would definitely cheer me up." stuff - he's a geek, albeit a pretty good one. but he is a good photographer, if'n you'd like him to take pixes for you, and stuff.
