Tomorrow, all the female members of my family will descend upon Las Vegas for my niece Maureen's 21st birthday.

My cousin Jennifer and I will be departing McHenry on an aiport shuttle at 4:30 a.m.

What we didn't know at the time was that shuttle would be the easiest and most luxurious part of our commute the whole weekend.

The low-light came this morning at about 7:20 in the Minneapolis airport when Amy declared, "I'm never going to see Quinn again!"

I didn't know how to respond because part of me was afraid she might be right.
