Wheeeee!
Could today have been any better? COULD IT?
--I got my first paycheck today. I called Andy during lunch to tell him the amount and we were almost weeping with glee, imagining all of our stupid bills finally being paid off.
--School continues to go well, and the work load continues to be tolerable. I am vowing right now to ALWAYS stay ahead in my planning so that my days are as relaxed as they've been. I just am so happy doing this job.
--Colleen, who had baby Connor on 9/17, asked me to be his godmother. I was floored. That is an incredible honor, and I will serve him with the pride and dignity he deserves. Or maybe I'll just buy him a lot of candy.
--"Montessori Night" was tonight, and I talked to Quinn's teachers about how we'd looked at a daycare for Quinn for the duration of my teaching assignment. One of them offered to see if she could accomodate Quinn every morning at Montessori instead of only two mornings a week. I was so excited that I almost kissed her RIGHT ON THE LIPS. I don't know where Quinn will go in the afternoon, but if she could go to school every day...well, she'd be a pretty happy bunny.
--After the meeting, my friend Amy and I went to Baker's Square and yapped for an hour, at least. Although she's a newer friend (we met at Gymboree classes and Collin is in Quinn's class at Montessori), she probably knows more about me than anyone but Andy. We have a lot in common, and I miss seeing her so frequently now that I'm working.
--When I got home, I had ANOTHER paycheck waiting for me...this one from my contracting job. I've actually done some work in the past month, and I forgot all about this check...
Somebody is surely smiling down on the Lester family tonight! I'll bet it's these guys.
