Stressssss

Whenever there's a new development or complication with my dad, I get sad, which then turns into stress. For the past few days, I've been wanting to eat everything in sight. Frango mints from Andy's grandma? Yes please! Quinn's graham crackers? I'll have some! Pretzels and cheese? SERVE THEM UP! I hate having no control over what's going on with his health. I hate that he's not getting better, but in fact is getting weaker. I hate that I can't do anything. And for crap's sake, I hate that it's so clear to me that I handle stress by eating.

Seriously. We were just over there for dinner, and now even though I am not hungry and I even have heartburn from all the damn onions I ate, I am STILL thinking about stuffing something into my mouth because perhaps then it will erase the image I have of him sitting in his chair in his pajamas looking like he weighs about 30 pounds and looking like he's about 100 years old.

Excuse me, I need a Frango.

Amy,
i truly do'nt know what to say, except that your dad's body is failing him for now.

'T'is better not to suffer," said one. "Dignity," said the hero. "peace," he said, with his last sleep/smile on his face.

i wish you great strength and courage. my mom passed 23 years ago, when i was 22 and just married. my dad passed 7 years after.

Your thing about your dad saying he had to kill your mum made me laugh. Thank you.

Amy,
my heart breaks for you. and my heart breaks for your family. and in your time of need or strength or sadness -- remember your dad and all he did and all he had faith in you to do. think about him -- he will think about you.

if you've not read it, i suggest reading "the prophet," by kahlil (sp?) [i keep giving away this book] gibran.

i hope you find peace and comfort.

my thoughts have been with you

i mis-wrote (i don't think that's a real word [in scrabble, anyway]) of my age when my mom and dad passed. i was 22 when my mom went. i was was 27 when my dad passed.

take comfort in your family.
i have none, and thus i am adamant about your doing so!!!

Been stress eating myself, lately. The new Frango Hot Fudge are excellent for stress - a whole box is about right.

Take care of yourself xoxoKristin
