OK, my brothers, my sisters, it's all good!!

Yes, the Asshats from Planet Penis did back out of the deal. It seems they went behind their own realtor's back and put an offer on another house in our neighborhood, which was for sale by owner. Fine folk these are, huh?

So the morning after that last entry, our realtor put our house back on the market. And I got a call almost immediately that someone wanted to show our house. I almost said no because it was messy, and I didn't feel like going through the effort of cleaning it and getting the four of us (including Baxter) out of it for an hour. But I said yes, and cleaned, and got us out. We returned after an hour and the realtor was still here, showing away. We went out for some food and came back so they would have plenty of time to enjoy each and every inch of our house.

That's when I began to feel that maybe...just maybe...this may work out after all. Sure enough, our realtor called us later that day and said the couple looking at the house liked it. They came for a second showing the next day, and before sundown we had an deal.

TWO DAYS after the Asshats did their thing, our house was sold again.

I mean, really. We must have had a LOT of people pulling for us. Because this is just amazing.

We've signed the contract, the inspection (another inspection!) is going to begin in 20 minutes, and we're still moving either 8/1 or 8/15, as the new people have no house to sell.

Whew!
