When In Doubt, Use Parsley

February 16, 2002

What did I spend Saturday afternoon doing?

  1. Attending prayer services
  2. Ministering to the poor
  3. Screening the Britney Spears movie

If you guessed #3, you know the truth: that I am hip, phunky, and phresh.

It was an outing that demanded many photos.

Debbie and I shared the backseat of Katie and Joe's car, smiling merrily until we discovered...
Joe's Pop Tart wrapper stash! The horror! Kids, avert your eyes!
Katie encouraged us to turn those frowns upside-down, however, and we couldn't see any reason not to.
Happily, I counted out six dollars for my ticket and was pleased to receive $.25 change. That left funds for snacks!
"Money well spent!" proclaimed the girls.
The snack line moved slowly, and we hugged and opened our mouths to pass the time.

Anticipation filled the air as we hurried into the theatre after just the briefest pause to document the moment.

It's true.

Ericka and I were pensive and optimistic, respectively.
Katie provided a light for Debbie to take notes.
This is me during the "I Love Rock & Roll" karaoke scene. Ericka likened me to a medalist in a special sort of Olympics.
When the movie ended, my feelings about the plot and dialogue manifested themselves physically.
And I did the Running Man all the way home.
